Creative Philosophy
I approach creative work by starting with the story: what are we trying to say, what should the audience experience, and why does it matter? From there, I build the team, environment, and resources that allow the strongest ideas to emerge. I believe ambitious work does not require unlimited resources, but it does require clarity of vision, thoughtful collaboration, and the willingness to keep searching for a better solution..

Shuler Awards
The Shuler Awards bring together live theater, music, choreography, design, broadcast, and more than 100 creative and production professionals for an annual statewide awards production. As Program Director, I lead the creative and producing vision for the show, shaping its narrative, script, opening and closing medleys, visual direction, and audience experience while guiding a multidisciplinary team of approximately 140. My role is to create a clear artistic framework, give department leaders room to bring their expertise to the work, and keep creative ambition aligned with the realities of budget, schedule, venue, and live performance.
Highlights from the 2025 Shuler Awards, a statewide musical theatre production for which I led the creative and producing vision across narrative, music, design, technical production, and live performance.
JAM Academy
Founded and led a performing arts academy in Santo Domingo while producing and directing musical theatre for 12 years. Mounted 12 full-scale productions, grew from a 300-seat venue to sold-out performances at the 1,800-seat National Theatre, and held creative and producing authority across artistic teams, design, budgets, contracts, and operations.

In addition to directing the stage work, I developed the visual identity of the productions through original campaign imagery and poster concepts created with students and photographers. Ten of the academy's twelve productions included professional promotional photo shoots and custom marketing artwork.
